To request deletion of your data, email ian@runpost.app with the subject line Data Deletion Request. Include the email address associated with your account. We will confirm receipt within 1 business day and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What gets deleted
When you request full account deletion, we delete the following data associated with your account:
- CSV files — any transaction or invoice files you uploaded.
- Wave OAuth tokens — your authorization credentials for the Wave integration.
- Generated reports — all business reports and summaries we produced for you.
- Profile data — your name, email address, and phone number.
- Business records — your business name, settings, and configuration.
- Metrics and analytics — aggregated revenue, client, and trend data stored in your account.
- Client history — client-level data derived from your invoices and transactions.
- Chat history — all conversations with the Runpost AI advisor.
- SMS preferences — your phone number and notification settings.
- Pending automated actions — any queued send or remind actions that have not yet executed.
- Authentication credentials — your login session and account access.
Data retention periods
Different types of data have different retention timelines after a deletion request is submitted:

| Server and access logs | Retained up to 90 days for security purposes |
Server logs may be retained for up to 90 days after deletion to support security monitoring and fraud prevention. These logs do not contain your business or financial data.
How to delete your data
Self-service deletion — account deletion directly from your settings page is coming soon.
Email request — until self-service is available, email ian@runpost.app with the subject line Data Deletion Request and the email address on your account. No additional verification should be needed, but we may follow up to confirm your identity if required.
What to expect
- We will confirm receipt of your request within 1 business day.
- Deletion will be completed within 30 days of your request.
- We will send a final confirmation email once your data has been deleted.
- Your account access will be revoked as part of the deletion process.
Partial deletion
If you want to delete only specific data — such as a particular CSV upload, your chat history, or your phone number — without closing your account, you can request that instead. Email ian@runpost.app describing what you would like removed and we will handle it on a case-by-case basis.
SMS opt-out
To stop receiving SMS messages from Runpost without deleting your account, you have two options:
- Reply STOP to any SMS message you receive from us. This will immediately opt your number out of all future messages.
- Remove your phone number from your account settings once that option is available in the app.
Opting out of SMS does not delete your account or any other data.
